In the average pew of 15 people . . .

• 5 will have been sexually abused.
   

• 2 will have gender identity confusion/homosexual orientation.
   

• 3 will struggle with pornography.

Why can't they just stop?

• Homosexuality has traditionally been recognized as a complex, emotional condition, that begins early in childhood.
   

• Sexual orientation is deeply embedded.
   

• "I do not understand the things I do. I do not do what I want to do, and I do the things I hate." Romans 7:15 (CEV)

What's the solution?

Jesus!
He came not only to forgive us our sins but to release us from bondage.
- Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18: "He has sent me to . . . proclaim release to the captives, . . . and set free those who are downtrodden." (NAS)

While on earth Jesus sought out those who were considered rejected by others in society. He frequented with sinners, prostitutes, and Samaritans (the ungodly). He restored them physically, spiritually, and socially.

Galatians 6:1 "If another Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. Share each other's troubles and problems, and in this way obey the law of Christ."

Although the Church has spoken out against and condemned homosexuality, it has not always offered restoration and hope to those who struggle.

CrossOver, Inc. 

Founded 21 years ago as the EXODUS ministry serving Kentucky. Exists to serve the church by supplying that hope for restoration, and practical help that people need.

Founded 26 years ago to help people struggling with homosexuality find healing and freedom in Jesus Christ.

CrossOver, Inc. serves the churches in Kentucky by providing:

• A safe place for people to go to talk about their sexual struggles.
   

• A supportive environment and program that God uses to bring about healing.
   

• Expertise in knowing how to help strugglers, drawn on over 21 years of experience.
   

• We are lay ministers being led by the Holy Spirit.

2. One-on-One Mentoring
3. Curriculum

Vision for the Future:

• Raise up Satellite Ministries around the state of Kentucky by training and equipping people in each area to minister to the sexually broken.
   

• Provide Kentucky churches with training and resources so that they can effectively minister to the sexually broken.

Testimony:

"CrossOver, Inc. has been like a hospital for me, somewhat of a combination of an operating room and rehabilitation unit. I was committed to the Lord and served Him, but after 15 years of fighting these feelings I fell into a relationship with someone of the same sex. I knew it had to finish, that it was not right, but ending the relationship was the most devastating thing that ever happened to me. I was in such emotional pain and my hope seemed to dwindle away. CrossOver, Inc. was the one place I could go to, that understood the whole experience. God started doing a healing work, getting down to the roots of why I had such attractions. I would probably have left the Lord and the Christian life - my attractions were so contradictory to God's Word but I didn't know how I would ever be free of them. It was so confusing. I don't think that its an exaggeration to say that I may not be alive today if it hadn’t been for the ministry of CrossOver, Inc.."

"I was abused by a neighborhood boy and later raped by a 'friend'. My father left home when I was 10. I started to believe that men were no good, that all they wanted was sex, that they would let you down. I had been distant from my mother and I longed for the nurturing care of a woman. At the age of 23 I had a relationship with a woman. I vowed it would never happen again, but it did. I came to CrossOver, Inc. to get help. God is working in me to heal and draw me into His heart where I am finding real intimacy."
